BearSee
BearSee helps people understand recent bear activity near trails, parks, campgrounds, towns, and trip-planning destinations in Canada.
BearSee combines community-submitted reports with public sources such as iNaturalist and Canadian public advisories or news sources. Source links are shown on sighting pages when available.
A report is context, not a formal risk rating. Community reports may be unverified. Public-source reports keep their original source link so you can inspect the record yourself.
Area counts use visible reports from the last 30 days within the stated radius, measured from the area centre. Trail counts use visible reports from the last 30 days within 10 km of mapped route geometry when available; otherwise the page labels broader province context.
Bear locations can be approximate, sensitive, stale, or affected by source-data limits. BearSee may generalize, hide, or remove locations to protect people, private residences, and wildlife.
No reports does not mean no bears. Always check official closures, warnings, park rules, and local wildlife reporting lines before you go.
